Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information FigAnimations collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. FigAnimations is operated by Talha Javed Khan as a sole proprietorship ("we", "us", "our"). If you have any questions, contact us at contact@feedback.figanimations.com.

We aim to collect as little personal data as possible — only what's needed to run the Site, process purchases, and improve the product.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Name and email address — when you purchase the product, that requires a sign up and that requires user's name and email.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle. We don't see, store, or process your card details.
  • Correspondence — messages you send to us by email or through forms on the Site.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics data — pages visited, referrer, approximate location, device type, browser, and similar usage data, collected via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and PostHog.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6 below.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver the product you purchased and provide access to free downloads
  • Send you transactional emails (purchase confirmation, download links, customer support replies)
  • Respond to your questions or feedback
  • Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for marketing emails, since we don't run an email marketing program.

3. Legal basis for processing (for EU/UK users)

If you're in the EU or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Contract — to process your purchase and deliver the product.
  • Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Site (including analytics).
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
  • Legal obligation — where we're required by law to keep records (e.g., tax records held by Paddle).

4. Who we share your information with

We share data only with the third parties needed to run FigAnimations:

ProviderPurposeData shared
PaddlePayment processing, tax, invoicingName, email, billing info, purchase details
Google Analytics 4Site usage analyticsAnonymised usage and device data
PostHogProduct analyticsAnonymised usage and event data
Our hosting providerSite hosting and deliveryStandard server logs

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy commitments. We don't share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.

5. How long we keep your information

  • Purchase records: retained for as long as needed to provide product access and meet tax/legal requirements (usually up to 7 years, governed by Paddle).
  • Analytics data: retained per GA4 (up to 14 months) and PostHog (per their default retention) configurations.
  • Email correspondence: retained as long as needed to resolve your query and for reasonable reference afterwards.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working and to understand how it's used. There are three categories:

Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Site to function (e.g., session, security, checkout). These can't be turned off.

Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 and PostHog. These help us see how the Site is used (which pages, where visitors come from, what devices) so we can improve it.

Payment cookies — set by Paddle during checkout to process your purchase securely.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

If you're in the EU, UK, or another region requiring consent, a cookie banner appears on your first visit, letting you accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preference at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some Site features may not work properly if you do.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@feedback.figanimations.com. We'll respond within 30 days. For payment-related data, you may also need to contact Paddle directly, since they hold the financial records as merchant of record.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — HTTPS, vetted third-party providers, and limited access. No system is 100% secure, though, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with an updated date. If we make material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you.

10. Contact
